A disused plot in Shrewsbury is being turned into a pocket park and community garden, with local people invited to help shape and care for the new space.
The project is taking place in Abbey Foregate on land between Hair 21 and the railway bridge. Shrewsbury BID is seeking volunteers, including someone willing to become a garden leader.
The garden is intended to give town-centre residents an opportunity to grow, garden and spend time together while bringing an unused piece of land back into community life.
Rather than creating a finished space and handing it over, the project is inviting residents into its development and care.
