Twenty-three organisations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are sharing £96,000 through this year's Community Cashback programme.

The successful groups cover a broad slice of community life, including search and rescue, youth charities, projects and community sports clubs.

The programme attracted thousands of applications and directs grants towards organisations nominated and supported by people in their communities.

For smaller groups, awards of this kind can pay for practical equipment, activities and improvements that are difficult to cover through day-to-day fundraising alone.
