Players from Middlesbrough’s Class of ’86 are getting back together for a fundraising night in support of their former teammate Gary Parkinson.

The event takes place at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Thursday 10 September and is intended to raise as much money as possible towards Parkinson’s continuing care.

Parkinson played for his hometown club between 1986 and 1993. has lived with locked-in syndrome since 2010 and requires 24-hour care, communicating using his eyes.

The evening brings members of the promotion-winning era back together for a night built around memories of the team and support for one of their own. The event was moved from an earlier April date to give the fundraiser the strongest possible chance of success.

Doors open at 6pm, with the event beginning at 7pm. Middlesbrough Town Hall currently lists limited ticket availability.
