First KEMP Hospice Moonlight Walk raises more than £7,500 under the stars

More than 160 people joined KEMP Hospice’s first Moonlight Walk at Bodenham Arboretum, raising over £7,500 for local hospice care.

More than 160 people walked through Bodenham Arboretum after dark for KEMP Hospice’s first Moonlight Walk, raising more than £7,500 for local care and bereavement support.

The 3km event on 31 July included lantern-lit paths, live entertainment and a Memory Gazebo where walkers could leave messages for people they wanted to remember.

KEMP provides free specialist care to patients and families across the Wyre Forest living with life-limiting illness and bereavement. The charity is already planning to bring the event back in 2027.

A first event is always a bit of an experiment. More than 160 people turning up in the dark and raising thousands of pounds is a fairly decisive vote for doing it again.
