A new solar and battery project in Cornwall has received planning consent and is expected to generate enough renewable electricity each year to match the needs of more than 10,000 homes.

Trerice Solar Farm near St Dennis will have around 32MW of solar capacity alongside battery storage. Plans also include improvements and more than 1.4km of new permissive footpaths.

Once operational, the project is expected to provide annual community-benefit funding and around £1.6 million in over its 40-year life. Construction is currently expected during 2028–29.
