Twenty supporters took on a 100-metre descent down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower, raising more than £14,700 for Trinity Winchester’s homelessness services.

Twenty fundraisers have stepped over the edge of Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower and abseiled 100 metres to raise money for people facing homelessness.

The group completed the challenge on 16 August in support of Trinity Winchester, which provides practical help and services to people experiencing homelessness and others who need support in the local community.

Together they raised more than £14,700, with participants including local business teams, volunteers, Trinity supporters and a former Mayor of Winchester.

The challenge turned one of the South Coast’s most recognisable landmarks into a rather dramatic fundraising platform. Every descent helped fund Trinity’s day-to-day work with people who need housing, welfare and practical support.
