Runners taking part in September’s Round Norfolk Relay have given their fundraising target a particularly concrete meaning: £4,250, the cost of one East Anglian Air Ambulance critical-care mission.

The relay takes place on 12 and 13 September, sending teams around a long multi-stage route through Norfolk, including part of the Sandringham Estate.

East Anglian Air Ambulance is again the event’s charity partner, with donations collected online and around the course. Nobody can know which future patient a fundraising target might eventually help, but putting the cost of one mission beside the number gives every mile a clearer destination.
