A North East business golf network has raised £22,592 for two regional charities, taking the amount generated through its annual fundraising event beyond £80,000 in four years.
Golf in the City raised the money through its fourth charity golf day and dinner at Ramside Hall Hotel. The proceeds are being split equally between The Teesside Charity and NE Youth.
The Teesside Charity supports people and community projects across the Teesside area, while NE Youth works with young people across the wider North East. Organisers say the network’s charity work has become an increasingly important part of its programme.
The event is organised by a volunteer committee and brings businesses together through regular golf and networking events while raising money for regional causes.
