People who fancy singing with others this autumn can join MTH Community Choir as its weekly sessions return to Middlesbrough Town Hall from Monday 7 September.
The choir is led by local international opera singers Emily Smith and Dave Pisaro and is designed to be friendly and accessible. Sessions mix world and folk music with opera and musical theatre while helping members develop vocal technique.
It is also a social group. Middlesbrough Town Hall says members have gone on to perform at events around the region, including concerts at the Town Hall, Ripon Cathedral and Middlesbrough’s Christmas Big Sing.
The autumn run continues on Mondays through to 30 November. Current sessions begin at 6.45pm, with members asked to be seated ready to sing, and tickets are £5 including the booking fee.
Full dates and booking information are available from Middlesbrough Town Hall.
