Sixteen climate start-ups get a year of support to turn green ideas into real businesses

Sixteen early-stage climate companies have joined Imperial’s Greenhouse accelerator, receiving mentoring, workspace and grants of up to £20,000.

Sixteen early-stage climate companies have begun a year-long accelerator programme designed to turn promising technical ideas into businesses capable of operating in the real world.

Imperial College London’s Greenhouse programme provides mentoring, specialist workshops, workspace and of up to £20,000. The latest cohort spans clean energy, food, advanced materials, industrial and climate adaptation.

Previous companies from the programme have gone on to raise investment and install technology in places including the British Library. The new group now gets 12 months to test customers, refine products and discover which clever laboratory idea can survive contact with an actual market.
