Families facing an unexpected hospital stay with a child are being offered new parent packs through University Hospitals Sussex.
An unplanned admission can leave parents arriving without everyday essentials while also dealing with the worry of their child's illness or injury.
The new packs are designed to reduce some of that immediate practical pressure, giving families useful items and support during a difficult and disorientating moment.
The has been launched through working at the trust, adding a small but human layer of support around care.
