£300,000 boost will help restore rivers and habitats in Suffolk

More than £300,000 has been awarded to two community-led projects in Suffolk working to improve water quality and restore wildlife habitats.

The East Suffolk Trust is supporting the River Waveney Trust and Chalkeith , with the projects expected to contribute to Suffolk’s wider Local .

The funding is intended to turn nature-recovery plans into practical work on the ground, including restoration and measures to improve local waterways.

The grants are among the trust’s first major awards and are designed to create a longer-term environmental legacy by backing organisations already working directly with local landscapes and communities.
