Community groups across South Norfolk can apply for grants of up to £10,000 to turn local ideas for wildlife and greener neighbourhoods into reality.
South Norfolk Council’s Nature Fund is open to town and parish councils, charities, schools and community groups. Projects can focus on , carbon reduction, public access to green space, or urban cooling.
The council is particularly encouraging ideas including new or restored ponds, tree planting, circular walking routes and small Miyawaki-style forests.
Applications are open until 18 September, with successful projects expected to be completed by the end of March 2027. It means relatively small local organisations can access meaningful funding for improvements that residents can see, use and enjoy close to home.
