Bristol teaching team recognised in national higher education awards

The University of Bristol has received two national teaching honours, recognising both an individual educator and a team working to improve research-rich teaching and the student experience.

Teaching at the University of Bristol has been recognised with two honours in the 2026 National Teaching Excellence Awards.

Associate Professor Scott Abbott Paterson received a National Teaching Fellowship, one of the sector’s major individual awards for impact on teaching, learning and student .

Bristol’s CREATE team also received the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence for -led work designed to strengthen educational practice and the student experience.
