Residents in Milford Haven who have experienced flooding are being brought into the design of a new national support network for communities across Wales.
A steering group will help develop an body offering practical support before, during and after floods. The announcement follows work on new flood defences in Milford Haven and conversations with people directly affected.
The approach gives lived experience a formal place in planning. Flood is partly about , but it is also about how quickly people can find information, support and trusted help when an event happens. The new network is intended to strengthen that human side of preparedness.
