Belfast is preparing to turn itself into one enormous free cultural venue for an evening, with more than 200 events planned for Culture Night on Friday 18 September.
From 4pm to 10pm, performances, exhibitions and creative activity will spread through familiar public spaces and venues across the city under this year’s theme, Be a City Explorer.
The programme has been developed with Belfast artists and creatives through an open call and is designed to be family-friendly and free to attend.
After a busy cultural summer for Belfast, Culture Night offers a different sort of invitation: no need to choose one theatre or one gallery. The point is to roam, stumble across something unexpected and let the city do the programming around you.
