£1.1m fund has backed 211 community projects across the UK in six months

A social-value fund linked to social-housing contracts has supported 211 projects including defibrillators, school visits, financial literacy and small repairs for vulnerable residents.

More than 200 community projects around the UK have shared £1.1 million through a social-value fund connected to the repair and maintenance of .

Travis Perkins Managed Services says 211 projects were funded for 67 customers during the first half of 2026. They range from school careers visits and financial-literacy programmes to new defibrillators, shopping-precinct improvements and youth skills projects.

One housing provider has used the funding for small practical repairs for residents, including fitting security chains, blinds and curtain poles. Individually, these are tiny jobs. For someone unable to do them themselves, they can be the difference between a house technically functioning and a home actually being comfortable.
