A fire-damaged former church in Dundee could be given a new life as 21 affordable homes under plans that would preserve much of the historic building rather than leave it derelict.
The proposals for the B-listed former St Luke’s Church in Lochee would create 15 flats inside the church shell, two houses in the former hall and four new-build homes on the site.
The mix includes two and three-bedroom properties, with wheelchair-accessible flats planned at ground-floor level. The scheme is intended to suit a range of residents, including young professionals, families and older people.
The church was badly damaged by fire in 2017. Turning the site into housing would bring a prominent local building back into use while adding affordable homes in an established community.
