Projects across Moray received £3.8 million of support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise last year, with the investment to support 84 jobs.
Twenty-seven of those roles are expected to be green jobs, while 46 organisations received innovation support and 20 new products, processes or services were launched.
The support included funding for equipment in seed-potato processing, investment in advanced food manufacturing and improvements at local businesses.
Across the year, HIE’s Moray team made 91 interventions connected with projects worth a combined £13.7 million.
Economic-development statistics can be a fairly dry species of good news, but the useful translation here is straightforward: local businesses are making things, improving how they work and creating jobs in a part of Scotland where keeping skilled employment rooted locally matters.
